‘Hi I’m Holly Rose’

Ever since I was a child I have always felt very connected with music and luckily as an adult I have been able to sing, teach and be part of the ever-changing world of music.

After studying vocals at the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford I flew off to South Africa to become the lead singer of a platinum selling band called ‘SemiSane’. After nearly four years of touring up and down the garden route, recording in studios and promoting albums my visa ran out and I returned home to pursue a solo career.

I signed to an independent label where I crafted my skills and successfully released two albums and recorded with some of the best musicians in the world, Including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the famous Abbey Road studios in London.

I toured radio & TV nationally, shot music videos in New York City, reached No 12 in the UK club charts, had a song I wrote used on German popstars and appeared in numerous UK publications, including: Company Magazine, SHE Magazine, Sunday times, Sunday Express and many more.

Then in 2007 at the peak of my career I fell in love with the greatest man on earth. Sadly within 3 months of being together he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and ‘he’ and ‘we’ were faced with a very difficult road ahead.

Understandably this turned my world upside down and emotionally drained me and I was unable to continue with promotion and began teaching in schools, drama groups and privately as well as working as an event singer for corporate events, weddings and special occasions. I am pleased to say that he has made a full recovery and we got married at the end of 2013.
